A friendly, caring school with a family ethos

Welcome to our school

Moorside High School is a unique Salford school in ethos, build and locality partners.  Being a part of Salford means we are determined, proud and hardworking.  Our vision is to be known as outstanding in all that we do.  To achieve this we are focusing all of our work on raising standards in the firm belief that we will be judged as at least good in our next Ofsted inspection.

We believe that all children should enjoy their education and that it should be done in a caring environment that engenders leadership, independence, challenge and a desire for high achievement.  We are enjoying the wonderful facilities of our state of the art, BSF funded building, that opened in September 2013, situated to the South of Swinton either side of the East Lancashire Road.  We pride ourselves in the family ethos we engender throughout all we do.  The catchment is within 1.7 square miles, with pupils accessing the school from Worsley, Swinton and Pendlebury and Monton.  The school is an LA maintained 11 – 16 mixed secondary school, which began as separate boys and girls schools in a joint building in 1934.

On the same campus site are a 650 place Primary School, the Authority’s Music and Performing Arts Service, peripatetic SEN service, the Deans Youth Centre and a separate 35 place Enhanced Resource Unit for pupils who have mild behavioural and emotional Needs.

The new school motto, developed with pupil input, is ‘Together we Believe, Achieve, Succeed’.

We are all rightfully proud of the school and it's achievements.

If you are looking to join us, I hope you find everything that you need in these web pages, if not, don't hesitate to contact us.
