English Parent & Pupil Workshops

On 27th March members of the English Faculty led three work workshops based on three underperformed questions from the most recent PPE. Parents and pupils attended three half an hour sessions on a carrousel basis, that were led by our lead teachers and AQA examination markers. The session started at 5.30pm with an Introduction and revision materials being distributed for the remaining weeks that we have left.

There was a real buzz on the floor as we adopted the approach that: ‘Teaching others is the best method of learning’. Pupils were set the task of teaching their parents how to: analyse quotations, link to contextual details, write in timed conditions and plan well organised answers. It was inspiring to see parents and pupils work collaboratively to solve issues and develop strategies to succeed when faced with a challenge.

Thank you to all parents that attended, it was lovely to see you and we wish you and your child the best of luck in the examinations.
