Guide Dogs for the blind visit

Moorside staff and pupils had the pleasure of visiting the guide dogs for the blind training centre in preparation for the year ahead when we will be sponsoring our own puppy. We learnt about the volunteers who train and look after the puppies. 

We heard from a lady whose life has been transformed by receiving a dog and we took part in a blindfold walk through obstacles lead by the trainers so we could experience for ourselves how difficult it would be for a blind person.

We left in the knowledge that we will make a difference to someone's life. What a privilege that is !
