Year 5 Transition Tournament

Thursday 17th December 2015 marked the 1st transition tournament at Moorside High School. The tournament was a cross between Benchball and Netball combing rules from both sports. Overall 63 year 5 children attended from three feeder primary schools, Moorside Primary School, St Peter’s Primary and The Deans.

Each school brought 3 teams of 7 children who competed for the Moorside High School Transition Tournament Trophy. With each team playing each other once with teams playing a total of 8 games throughout the morning.

The morning ran smoothly with the help of Year 10 & 11 GCSE PE students refereeing the games and making sure that the scores where given in to Mr Jolly who looked after the scoring of the event.

All pupils who attended represented their schools extremely well and everyone involved enjoyed themselves. A big well done to The Deans Team 1 who were overall winners of the event.
