A friendly, caring school with a family ethos

WELCOME

Moorside HighSchool

Moorside High School is proud of the ‘family ethos’ we have developed. This has culminated in the high levels of attainment, high attendance and standards of behaviour that Ofsted graded as ‘outstanding’.

The school is located either side of the East Lancashire Road, south of Swinton town centre within the Salford Local Authority.

The purpose built, Building Schools for the Future school has state of the art curriculum areas that support the high quality teaching and learning. Pupils are actively encouraged to be independent learners in an environment that stimulates their imagination.

We are a community high school that prides itself on the interaction with its neighbours and partners, within these pages are just a small part of what we do every year to support others through curricular projects, charity events and personal challenges.

After reading about our school you may want to visit us or ask how your child can become part of the Moorside Family. If you do then contact us by email info@moorsidehigh.com or telephone us on 0161 921 1045

Thank you for your interest in Moorside.

GCSE Results Day 2016

Congratulations to the Moorside High 2016 cohort.  In a year where examination grade boundaries have yet again been raised.  They have achieved a 66% pass rate in English and a 66% pass rate in Mathematics.  The proportion of pupils gaining high grade A* and A has increased to 18% which is a testament to the high quality teaching our pupils received.
"Well done year 11 2016, you have all worked hard and these results prove it.  There are so many who I could name who have exceeded their targets both academically and personally."
Mr Ogden,  Headteacher
"I would like to thank all the staff and pupils who have worked hard to achieve these results."
Professor M Gabbay,  Chair of Governors.
