Having worked at Moorside High School for the past ten years and having recently supported our previous Year 11 cohort through their final year, I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with your child during this important stage of their education.

Following feedback from parents and carers regarding previous events, particularly around the challenges of attending after school due to work and family commitments, we have adapted our approach this year to make the information more accessible to everyone.

As part of our commitment to supporting every child to become a confident and successful reader, students will be completing a reading assessment called the New Group Reading Test (NGRT) in the coming days/weeks.
We are writing to inform you of a new process for providing consent for school sporting fixtures, which will be introduced from this academic year.
I am delighted to invite you, as a parent/carer of a Year 11 student, to our Year 11 Information and Guidance – Make It Stick Evening on Tuesday 8th September at 5:00pm in the Sports Hall. The evening will finish no later than 6:00pm.
