It is with great pleasure that we can share with you, further information about the ‘Class of 2024 Leavers Prom’, how they can purchase a leavers hoodie and their last day in school with us.
This is intended to help your child present and communicate effectively, in preparation for student leadership duties, college interviews and more so, life beyond school.
It is hard to believe that I am writing to you today, with the arrangements for the final few weeks for our class of 2024. Our Year 11 students will commence their external exams on Tuesday 7th of May 2024.
We have been provided with the details of some exciting opportunities for Year 10 students to start exploring university and higher education options through a scheme called "Uni4U" ran by GM Higher.
As you are aware, the Year 11 external exams are nearly upon us. The first exams will be the Modern Foreign
Languages Speaking exams, these exams will be taking place the week beginning 29th April 2024.
As an integral part of the Year 10 personal development programme, we are offering Y10 pupils the opportunity to undertake a 2-day work experience placement on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th July 2024.
I am delighted to invite you and your child to a Parent/Carer/Student Workshop in school. The aim of the workshop is to support your child in preparation for the English Literature and English Language GCSE examinations.
As you are already aware, all our Year 9 students have now chosen their preferred option subjects for studying in KS4 (Year 10 & Year 11). Over the next half term, we will be placing the chosen subjects into blocks for timetabling purposes, and we aim to ensure that as many students as possible are able to study their first choices.
