As part of GCSE in Business and Enterprise, students will complete several components across the two years.
The first formal assessment for Component 1 will take place in February 2024. For this component, students will be supervised to complete a non-examined assessment. They will be asked to write about a micro, small or medium enterprise, this would typically be a business with a maximum of 249 employees. The students can choose the business they wish to research, they will need to find out information about the enterprise and the entrepreneur who runs the business. The aim is to find out what they do, to make their business successful.

We are excited to announce that we are going to offer Classical Civilisation pupils in Year 10 and 11 the opportunity to go on a cultural and educational visit to Rome. Rome houses many of the prescribed sources studied on the course which provides a unique opportunity to bring the source to life.
We are pleased to announce that we plan to visit Ypres & the Somme in July 2024. This trip offers a great opportunity for Year 9 students to experience the battlefields as part of their study of WWI.
To help inspire our pupils to progress on to Higher Education, and learn about the range of options available to them after high school, we work with Greater Manchester Higher who fund a range of activities for our pupils.
