As Headteacher, and a parent myself, I make no apology for having a very simple and uncomplicated view of what makes an exceptional school.

We have a calm and supportive environment which is characterised by respectful relationships between the teachers and students.There is a very clear focus on delivering high academic standards for all students and we encourage all students to strive to reach their full potential.

We aim to provide every member of Team Moorside a broad and balanced curriculum, where every child is valued. We have high expectations in terms of achievement, behaviour and attitudes so that everyone can become the very best that they can be. We provide students with a wide range of opportunities so that they can grow and develop into socially responsible citizens ready to take their next step on their academic journey.
